KeepFlick Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how KeepFlick (the "App"), published on Google Play and the Apple App Store by Lori Azerrad ("we", "us", "the developer"), handles information when you use the App. KeepFlick is a photo and video clean-up app that helps you review the media on your phone by month or by app source and decide what to keep and what to flick to the trash.

1. Information we do not collect

• We do not upload, copy, back up, scan, analyze or otherwise transmit your photos or videos. They never leave your device through the App.
• We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, contacts, location or any other personal information.
• We do not require an account or login.
• We do not use analytics or crash-reporting services that send usage data to us.
• We do not sell, rent or share any personal data with anyone, because we do not have any.

2. Permissions the App asks for and why

• Photos and videos (on Android: READ_MEDIA_IMAGES, READ_MEDIA_VIDEO, READ_MEDIA_VISUAL_USER_SELECTED, and storage access on older versions; on iOS: Photo Library access). Required so the App can list and display the media already on your device, group it by month and source, and move the items you choose to the trash or delete them. This access is used only while you are using the App and only for these purposes.
• Microphone and speech recognition (optional). KeepFlick offers hands-free voice commands so you can say "Keep" or "Flick" instead of swiping. Voice commands are recognised on your device. We do not record, store or send audio anywhere. You can decline this permission and use the App fully with touch gestures.
• Internet. Used only to load advertisements in the free version and to process the optional Premium purchase through Google Play or the App Store. Your media is never sent over the internet by the App.
• Google Play Billing / Apple In-App Purchase. Enables the optional one-time Premium purchase that removes ads.

3. Data stored on your device

To work properly the App keeps a small amount of information locally on your phone, such as your theme and display preferences, which months you have finished reviewing, the list of items you have flicked to the App's Trash, the small thumbnails kept in the Ghost Album (see section 4), and whether Premium is active. This information stays on your device, is never sent to us, and is removed when you uninstall the App or clear its data.

4. Deleting photos and videos

Items you flick are first placed in the App's Trash so you can review them and restore anything you want back. Nothing is permanently removed until you choose to delete, at which point Android or iOS asks for your consent through its own system dialog. Permanent deletion is handled by your device, not by us.

After an item is permanently deleted, and only if the Ghost Album is enabled, the App keeps a tiny thumbnail of it together with the date it was taken, the date it was deleted and its file size. These "ghosts" are stored in the App's private storage on your device so you can see what you let go and how much space you freed. Ghosts are not backups: the original cannot be recovered from them, and they are never sent anywhere. You can pause the Ghost Album, remove individual ghosts or wipe them all from inside the App. We cannot see, recover or restore anything you delete, so please keep a backup of media you care about.

5. Advertising (Google AdMob)

The free version of KeepFlick shows advertisements served by Google AdMob, a service provided by Google LLC. To show and measure ads, Google and its partners may collect information from your device such as the advertising ID, IP address, approximate location derived from it, device type and app usage related to ads. This data is collected by Google under its own privacy policy, not by us, and we do not receive personal information from it.

• You can reset or opt out of personalised ads in your device settings (Settings → Google → Ads).
• Purchasing Premium removes all advertisements from the App.

6. In-app purchases (Google Play Billing and Apple In-App Purchase)

The optional Premium upgrade is sold through Google Play on Android and through Apple's App Store on iOS. Payment is processed entirely by Google Play Billing or Apple In-App Purchase under their own terms and privacy policies. We never see or store your payment card details or billing address. The App only receives confirmation that the purchase is active so it can remove ads, and this status is kept locally on your device.

7. Children's privacy

KeepFlick is not directed at children under the age of 13 and we do not knowingly collect any information from children. Because the App collects no personal data, no such data can be held by us. If you believe a child has used the App in a way that concerns you, contact us at the email below.

8. Security

Since your photos, videos and preferences never leave your device, they are protected by the security of your device itself. We recommend using a screen lock and keeping your operating system up to date.

9. Your rights and choices

• You can revoke the photo, video or microphone permission at any time in your device settings. The App will then be unable to display your media or accept voice commands.
• You can delete all data the App stores locally by clearing the App's data or uninstalling it.
• Because we do not collect or hold personal data, there is nothing for us to access, correct, export or delete on your behalf. If you have a question about your data, email us and we will respond.

10. Terms of use and disclaimer

You are responsible for backing up your media before using the App and for the decisions you make while reviewing it. The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Lori Azerrad is not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, including loss of data, images or other media, arising from your use of the App. If you do not agree with these terms, please do not use the App.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes are published on this page with an updated "Last updated" date, and where a change is significant we will also note it in the App. Continued use of the App after a change means you accept the updated policy.
